MailMergic GmbH (“we”, “us”, or “our”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains our data practices for this website and the MailMergic Offline Application, with specific regard to the Personal Information Protection Law (PIPL) of the People’s Republic of China.

1. Core Principle: 100% Offline Processing

The MailMergic Offline Application is built on the principle of data sovereignty. Your sensitive business data never leaves your infrastructure:

  • Local Execution: All document processing, including Excel data merging and PDF generation, occurs strictly on your local computer.
  • No Cloud Uploads: Your Excel sheets, PDF templates, and generated files are never uploaded to our servers or any third-party cloud.
  • Zero Access: We have no technical means to see, store, or access any personal information processed through our offline software.

2. Website Data & No Tracking Policy

We believe in minimal data collection. Our website (china.mailmergic.com) is optimized for privacy:

  • No Third-Party Tracking: We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixels, or any other third-party tracking scripts. Your browsing behavior remains private.
  • No Marketing Cookies: We do not use cookies for advertising or profiling purposes.
  • License Activation: When you activate your software license, our system performs a one-time validation check. This involves only your license key and a hardware identifier to prevent unauthorized use. No document data is involved in this process.

3. Compliance with PIPL & No Cross-Border Transfer

In accordance with the PIPL requirements for cross-border data security:

We confirm that no personal information (PII) processed by the MailMergic Offline Application is transferred outside the borders of the People’s Republic of China. As all data processing remains local to the user’s device, your organization remains the sole “Personal Information Handler” under the law.

4. Data Security & GDPR

While we comply with PIPL for our Chinese users, we also maintain our high European standards as a German company (GDPR compliant). This ensures that even the minimal administrative data we hold (such as your email address for billing) is protected by the world’s strictest security protocols.
